the creature

it lives with purpose for us all
though sometimes without cause
man will go to great lengths
to get it breaking laws

this creature has an elusive way
it’s prey ensnared without thought
all shapes and sizes born to it
to fool it can’t be taught

as a companion most men have found
the creature brings much joy
not like a bat or ball or game
“watch out” cause its no toy

the cycle runs but 28 days
a pre and post condition
this creature monthly changes ways
to its previous rendition

so heed the warning past down to you
from fathers sharing sins
when dealing with this God made beast
“beware , it always wins”
