The Critical Poetry Forum
The Critical Poetry Forum
The welcome matte is placed before
each and everyone,
to bring your works of poetry
if you want them “done”.
Punctuation is a must,
God forbid a word’s misspelled.
Rhyming without meter
in the trash your poem’s propelled.
Moderators read your poem
with ego’s big as mountains.
The bullshit coming from their mouths
it spews from them like fountains.
Never again will I endure
their frustration, pain and doubt.
I’d rather sit alone at home
and suffer with my gout.

So True, rrje
I agree with you whole heartedly rrje.
I would rather not be critiqued, I write as I speak and probably break all rules but I can`t see I am hurting anyone by doing so,
dont see that anyone should judge my work and be hurtful in the process, as you say I would rather stay here and nurse my arthritis, well written and Oh so true, from Willow

Thank you Willow, I guess you tried going there for help also ?
I can't believe people go there and stay there allowing those anal retentive moderators to humiliate them and expect to hear you say "Oh thank you " My God someone has to go there and shake that tree real hard. I did post this poem there as a “parting shot” hahahahaha
By the way my name is Ron
.
Hi Ron
Just to put the records straight I didn`t go on the critical forum, I have had critics here on this one, without me asking, that was enough for me it is very disheartening when folk pick your poems to pieces and then say they are only trying to help but it is very hurtful,I wouldn`t survive in the one that you went in I think I would just give up completely,as I nearly did here .I didn`t expect it on this site, but next time I will just ignore it .and carry on as normal, thanks for the reply Ron,thats why I know how you felt, from Willow

Yes, it was a trip .... and they didn't take long to ban me after I posted the poem there. I am going to miss them like Europe missed the plague. :)
Good For You Ron
Good for you Ron,it`s about time someone put them in their place ,I had two members critisize me here ,I couldn`t do that to anyone if I didn`t like their poem I just wouldn`t comment ,I could never hurt anyone like that. from Willow,
I too was cticized for something I wrote.
And took it quite hard actually. So I know how both of you feel. As each of us has our own tastes and style in writing, not everyone is going to like what we wrote. But why tear somebody's work down if you don't like it?
Just don't comment and move on.
I guess critisim can be tough to swallow at times. But we have to be strong, roll with the punches and 'keep on keeping on,' as we say here in America.
Willow, I've enjoyed reading your blog. You've written some very entertaining poems,
and I especially like the funnier ones. You've got a wonderful sense of humor. Please keep them coming TJ
Here here TJ
I agree with you TJ it is extremely upsetting for anyone to critique your poem especially as you don`t ask for it ,and as you say best to soldier on and just ignore the so called critics,I like you would just move on without comment I would never hurt anyone in this way,
thanks for the kind words about my poems it means lot, much appreciated from Willow
