The Weasel in Us

The weasel is a sly one,
his presence is among us.

Though small in stature he makes his mark
creating such a fuss.

We use the weasel most everyday
to sneak things in our lives.

Keeping spoils from our friends
husbands, lovers, wives.

What would we do without him?
How would we fulfill our desires?

Our weasel supplies the wants and needs
and fuels the taboo fires.

He visits all excluding none
both righteous, good and bad.

Children, sons and daughters
men and women all are had.

We’re taught we should be honest,
always to be true.

But without our weasel in us
what ever would we do?
