Turmoil

Silence has crept up close to me,
its claws deep in my thought.
Impending doom is all around,
depression it has wrought.

Desires, hopes and dreams are dead,
carnage has joined the lot.
They’re buried in despair and doubt,
expelled into a grot.

Strange bedfellows these horrors are,
insanity runs unabated.
As smoke from hell seethes in my soul
my life has been serrated.

Love turns to hate,
dreams to nightmares,
all friends become my foes.

The gray zone
is my new abode,
I’m bout to hit new lows.

See en h two en
plus ten h
is poison in my veins.

A cauldron boils
this deadly brew
deliquescing my brains.

If what you seek is logical
please walk away from me.
Turmoil has power over all,
just wait, and watch, you’ll see.

Hey Bro

I hope beyond hope that this is all coming from your imagination. If it isn't there is help to be had. I too am fighting depression but with the help of a good doctor, good medicine and support from my wife at least I am functional. The first medicine I was on was worthless, it's called Effexor, my doctor changed me to Cymbalta and it made a world of difference.

I still hope this was just your imagination let loose.

Your friend,

Pete

Pete i appreciate your words of help. This was my mind set when I was in the throws of alcoholism, I share my past like this for others to see that it can be this bad and can, with help get better. I am much better and this was a long time ago.

I wish this was only my imagination

memories

can be hard sometimes, they can carry a lot of weight I think this was effective in making it current. I'm glad you have some fond memories to share as well. raskin

I try to remember them all, i will learn from them all and if I forget the bad ones I am doomed to repeat them.
thanks raskin for reading and commenting

I really

hate repeating bad memories. It's been interesting reading these snippets of memory. I tend to mix my own experiences in my poems and sometimes the outcome is interesting. raskin
