When all is said and done
When all is said and done
As the final grain falls
from my hour glass,
I want to ease into my end
completely out of gas.
To have helped as many,
others in my life.
Held out my hand to all I met
and rid them of their strife.
Not to be alone then,
by myself or in much pain.
Not with the thought of who I was
or that I left in vain.
To have made a difference,
a worthy memory.
Some kind of lasting legacy
as plain for all to see.
No regrets or anger,
knowing I had fun.
That my life meant something
when all is said and done.

In my quest to make amends during the rest of my time here on this earthly plain I can only hope that this poem comes true. Thank you Deb’s for being you and sharing your “piece of time” with me.
