As I sit on the piano bench,
Streaching my anxious fingers
twards the black and white keys
not knowing what they will play.

As they hit the first note
and a sound rings out,
making everyone listining
relax and listen for what is to come.

Hitting the keys,
not knowing which ones
I play my heart out,
but then there is trouble

I hit a wrong note,
and everyones hair sticks on end
because of the slam back into reality
when the peace is disturbed.

Everyone watches,
as I start over again
trying to play everything right
not wanting to make another mistake

I try and forget that one bad note,
and keep playing until everythig goes smooth
and everyone relaxes again,
just enjoying the piano's song.
