To my Child

I would like to smash your fucking head in,
but I can't
because
you are my daughter.

oooh

Sara!.....what can I say?......I've felt like that with my sister at times but to be honest, I cant picture ever feeling that way about my daughter, mind you, I better not speak too soon, lol.....she's only 2....peace.

I know, I know...

I've got 4 children ranging in ages from 14 to 16 months. This was written about my eldest who is steaming through her teens leaving a very large trail of destruction behind her ( I did it myself, I remember!). There are times when I want to cry, run away, strangle her, smash the house up as a result of the pain her lies, deceit, stealing, drinking have caused. It has been such a relief to write down how I feel. That said, I love her dearly, she is an amazing girl and I know, one day, she'll come out at the other end. They said parenting is the hardest job in the world, and they are right! Thanks for looking and for your comments, all the best to you and yours! Sara x

Venting

sometimes we need to vent or explode.I know I have done both.I hope you've found the release you need to deal with it.

Freedom

Being able to write how I feel about her has been extremely healing. Thanks for understanding - bringing up children brings emotions out that you never even realised you had! All the best.. Sara
