Empty Heart

Before, I thought I was alone
Before, no one seems to be at home
Raindrops keep falling outside
And teardrops falling in my eyes

The house was empty
Nobody inside and it seems so creepy
But behind that darkness falls
Is a small sobbing voice that calls

And from the corner of the house
Laid a small room with door wide open
And there inside, is a trembling child
Thin with bulging eyes, messy and hungry
But when I looked at her straight in her eyes
I saw the sweetness of being a child
And when I asked her of her name
I was surprised when she uttered my name
Shocked, I bent down and looked at her
Then I saw her dainty lips trying to smile
But with a flash, the child was gone
Leaving me inside the room like a hopeless woman
Then inch by inch, I felt my heart gets numb
I slowly closed my eyes and I felt like dumb

Then suddenly I heard footsteps
Getting nearer and nearer
Then it stopped!
Curiously, I lift my head and I opened my eyes
I was stunned when I saw a handsome young man
He held my hand and helped me stand
Quietly, he accompanied me out of the empty house

I thought he was the one
Oh! How I love that handsome young man
He promised me that he‘d wait for me
However, why is it now he had flee?
He captured my heart
Now he left it with a big scar
Now I am here, I’m all alone
Again, my heart was broken
Like the old empty house where I had been
