I look back at the past and sigh,
things turned out different and I still wonder why,
a love and family could have been nice,

We all make choices that sometimes we regret,
try in vein to hit but sometimes we loose the bet,
trading sure things for pure fantasy,

but I gaze into your future and I see what’s in store.

I will shine on for another day,
but for some choices I believe some will pay,
I shine with a inner light,
