And here I Stand
And here... I stand
Alone
For the very last time.
Still hand in hand
With earth
Negating;
Meaning
Fears,
And worth.
And has it been that long?
I journeyed far
I died;
I caught a shooting star
Between my hands;
I felt the sun
Burn on my skin;
I laughed
Then cried again;
I looked upon
The rising sun,
And all those things
I’d yet not
Done,
And can I... carry... on..?
Still hand in hand
With earth
Affirming;
Meaning
Fears,
And worth
I rise again;
I cry
I smile
I wave goodbye
To fears
I cradle;
All that’s dear
To me
I live;
To see
Another day;
I pray.
Still hand in hand
With earth
Embracing;
Meaning
Fears,
And worth
I take from you
The strength
I lack;
I journey out
The black;
I lift my head
I breathe
The air,
I see an Eagle fly;
I stare toward
The sky,
And, here I stand.
