Hedgehog A-Foraging (A Collection Of Corpse Poetry)

Under earth
A hedgehog comes to visit me.

Meticulously foraging he starts
As the chill from my body seizes him.

I am not alone anymore; for creature is my
Company.
He brushes his long pink nose affectionately
Against my cheek.

Intrigued he begins a rather intense investigation.
The scarce remains of my flesh lay intact.

He begins to nibble quite randomly upon a bone or two
Then wrenches away,
The dusty remnants of my left hand.

I observe him carefully as he feasts upon me
The cold of my skin now prickled by spike.
Small darting eyes flick momentarily around

As he breathes a sigh and nestles contentedly under my armpit.

Thanks for your comments on this. Im sure there's a whole undiscovered world going on underground that we don't know about...maybe we don't want to though....maybe it's just me that thinks like this...maybe i should contact Stephen King and put a few of my ideas his way...?

Never the less they were great fun to write, and i kind of had a bit of affection for ol' Mr hedgehog there at the end!
