Slug On The Brain ( A Collection Of Corpse Poetry)

One…last….push
Then he was there...

Looking noticeably pleased
He slid dutifully around the nose cavity.

Quite rudimentary by nature
It made its slow decent south,
Exploring the private matter.. of brain.

A mind purged by slug,
Began to untangle
Amid the careful..
Often risky excavation
Process.

Deliberate movements induced a trail
Of fleshy material;
A sign for the others to follow soon.

Shells began to split as the family arrived,
Forcing their bodies to bend, and enter me.

A straggler trailed behind and greeted me
Eye to eye...

Good Poem Debs

this was a good one Debs and unusual also about a slug I sometimes hear birds knocking them on the path trying to break the shells for a tasty treat it is amazing to watch they say birds have no brains ,but they have where foods concerned ,
mind you I wouldn`t want a slug to enter my brain or nose, a lot to be said about cremation lol good write Debs I enjoyed the read , from Willow.

Thanks

Thanks once again Willow.

I think where animals are concerned its down to survival..and survival of the fittest!

These were interesting pieces to write, and being my own work, dont really bother me at all in terms of macarbe etc. When i re-read them now, they actually make me giggle!
But then again..it dosen't take alot to make me laugh. I tend to find humour in most things..even slugs greeting one eye to eye! lol!

Slug on the Brain

This is a strangely interesting work.

Can't believe it weas penned by a girl.

(I wrote that in my 14 year old boy voice.)

What was the spark that led to this?

Hi Mark

Thanks for the comment.
I really don't know what led to these writes..other than the fact i have a very vast imagination.

I think the capacity of our minds to create is infinate, and merely seeing a slug on the roadside, can congure up all kinds of images!
I just let this particular one slide into free-fall and see where it took me.
