Until it Fades

The morning light come again into this home of mine
I will work toil and try until it fades, no longer to shine
The friends are here today to lend an ear, a shoulder, advice
Ill try to talk, cry, and listen until it fades once more, lost in my vice
Drink away the pain of this morn, this noon, this night
Until it fades ill hide away in this bottle feeling oh so trite
So what say you my closest friend about this little plight
I listen to you, Until it fades, Sunlight into night
So sit with me while you can and tell me a little tale
about this man you once new and how he would always fail
Fail to be a better man lost in his infection
Failed to be a stronger man lost in his perplextion
I tried oh friend I tried so hard to be the better person
I tried oh friend I tried so hard to not lose my purpouse
I fear this life is at its end and no more new beginings
So dream of me the sweetest dreams, remember me grinning
Keep me in your heart and hold my memory before I was betrayed
Hold my memory close as you can Until its gone, Until it fades

Fail to be a better man lost

Fail to be a better man lost in his infection
Failed to be a stronger man lost in his perplextion

I particularly liked these lines. They flow to a certain rhythm. I also like the way they compare the problem to an infection and tie that to the way we often find ourselves perplexed by this maze we all seem to live in.

Thanks for your feedback I'm glad you liked this little piece. It always helps me to keep writing when someone stops to take the time and let me know they enjoyed something. Makes it all worth while

"So clever, whatever, I'm done with these endeavors.
Alone I walk the winding way. It's over, no longer, I feel it growing stronger.
I'll live to die another day, until I fade away."
