As a young boy, so full of fear
Aspiring to find someone, something to call dear
The young boy found this task daunting and the path not clear.

Yet, a girl he met at the tender age of 15
Arm in Arm they journeyed through life
Through happiness, sorrow, toil and strife

For four years they assumed as was well
And together someday they and their family would dwell
When truth be told, nothing was well.

Day in and day out they fought
The boy, now 19, became weary of this relationship that he had wrought.
The young girl was not the cause, yet one to many fights had been fought

Eventually, they split
Hearts that once beat as one now were rent
Sorrow and misery consumed their life
And again they fell into toil and strife

Yet they young boy, once so timid, did not give up, but endured on
A girl he met, young, beautiful and talented is she
But could someone so beautiful ever come to adore someone like me?

Day after day, the young boy tried
And the fire in his heart did not die
For until he reached his goal, he would not lye
