Poem For Momma
November 18th
The day the she was born
She grew into a rose
Even has a few thorns
But I’m the man you see today
Because of what she has done
And I’m proud to say
Let Him Go
Listen to me girl
‘Cause there’s something I gotta say
It’s been on my mind
Like every single day
I notice that he’s
He’s always on your mind
But you have to let him go
I Wanna/I Will
I want to be that guy
That makes your heart
Skip a beat
Every time we meet
To be the first and last number you dial
When you’re feeling down
I want to make you smile
There's This Girl
She’s like a sunset over the horizon
Shining in all her beauty
Like that single red rose
In a sea of white petals
You can’t help but stare
And wonder in amazement
How did God create
Tears Of Freedom
To have salty drops
Escape from the windows to my soul
Would set me free
Because inside of me
The water is steadily rising
And it's getting hard to breathe
When She's Gone
The air’s taste is stale
And the cold breeze stings my face
Because when she isn’t here
It’s not the same place
Even when there are other people around
Her presence can’t be replaced
One Hundred Roses
To see a smile on your face
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do
I’d even start my own garden
And grow one hundred roses just for you
I’d cut each rose just so
Drowned The Pain
We spend the whole day together
Hoping it will last forever
But what happens when you have to leave?
I begin to notice that I can’t breathe
Like the air that sits in a balloon
As You Sleep
While you lay in bed
I watch you as you sleep
A sight so sweet
The way your hair covers your face
Hiding your coffee brown eyes
It’s in that moment I realize
The Way You Are
The subtleties of your ways
I have to admit girl
I’m completely amazed
The very way that you speak
Your words creep into my ears
Making my body weak
The softness of your gentle touch
I Think I Get It
Whatever she wanted
I’d give
Wherever she wanted
We’d live
For her I’d do anything
There are no limits
I’m going for her heart
And I plan to win it
She’s my oxygen
My Path Of Words
As I place these words
Oh so carefully chosen
Onto this paper
I turn my gaze towards the night sky
And it is at that point
That I then look inward
And ask myself
Why?
Boredom Grabs A Hold Of My Pen
Random thoughts spill onto the page
The scent of sage within the air
Clouds of despair thin out
I come to find out
I’m not allowed to shout
Or even talk loud
A Kiss In The Rain
Love has no bounds
As the rain blankets us
Lingering over the wet pavement
A kiss so soft
Yet so powerful
Within the blackened sky
Mysterious light shines
Guiding me towards your lips
