A Dozen Roses
The grass glistens from last nights rain
Last weeks flowers, now wilted, still remain
The petals, a kind of black and brown hue
Haunted by memories of you
The days we spent together
Will stay with me forever
Following me wherever I go
My agony I finally show
As tears run down my face
Standing alone in this cold place
A dozen more roses I lay
Before walking away from your grave
