Three leaving questions

"Do you want to?"
As if asking her is not enough to tell
We step out of the car and I walk her
The night always gets colder
"Knowing that once you walk inside that door,
You won't be mine till tommorrow"
Knowing that once I leave to be a scholar
She won't be mine

"What are you scared of?"
My sense of augury doesn't work with her
Leaving me for one of her friends
And I'll stand still by her side
"I'm just really cold,
But I can hardly feel a thing."
I'm scared that once I move on to someone else
She'll fade away like a mist

"What am I to you?"
Sexual desire has always been a problem
Have I a routine of overthinking
To say one thing and think another
"I care more for you than anyone else.
You are more than a friend, sweetheart."
Even though her body was my first reason,
More than ever I want to protect her.
