Religion's Creation from the Fifth Story Sunset
Like a sideways slice of life
fading sun hits the highrises
and the clouds on the horizon
they applaud the day's last hurrah
that little scattering of snow
there ain't none on the trees
there is only the dying gasp of sunlight
and it's hunters
ravenous vultures
creeping slowly in
I.
Well, I'm not well versed in the politiking of hell
but a day like this
for sun and day to end,
like this,
no man can see this and not be afraid
for self, and for mankind itself
and so, as fiendish fears take hold
the quell the morbid thought of humanity's eternal night
man has and will have to believe
and in belief
God he does create
