He Did It For Me

Left bright crowns of glory
Derobed Himself of divinity
Took on the garment of humanity
He did it for me
Draped in humility
He bore the burdern of
Isolation,Hurt and Rejection
He left riches and wealth
And became impoverished
He did it for me
Tempted at His weakest point
Tried for His sinless nature
Terrorised by His own hands work
He did it for me
He walked the streets to calvary
He bore a crown of thorns
Blood trickeled down his head
Whipped,beaten,kicked and battered
He did it for me
"Let there be trees that grow seed bearing fruits"
On that tree He hung half-dead;
Blood oozing from his every side,
When a heartless and decietful soldier
In pursuit of evil
Pierced him one last time
He did it for me
For when Judas kiss laid on my Masters cheek
A turning point for me had been marked
He stopped Peter from allowing
The cup to pass from Him
He knew He was the plan of salvation
Had it not been for Pilates self-interest
Being stronger than his sense of justice
I wouldn't be reconsiled by his death for my sin.
He died a hideously slow
And tremendously painful death
His death and ressurrection
Striked a daeth blow to satans rule,
And established His eternal empire
"It is finished"
Words uttered truimphantly
For when on that old rugged cross
He gave up his spirit
Jesus paid it all
The full penalty of my sin
He completed the paln of salvation
And the passion of His love
And His amazing grace
Compelled Him and He,
He did it for me
