You know how they say, if you kneel down and pray
Presenting your requests, relating your stress
You're focusing much on troubles at large
Just try with each prayer in thanksgiving, declare
How great our God is, the universe His
Thank Him for His blessings, see Him in all things
You'll soon rightly find, God is mighty yet kind
He loves you and cares, so friend, don't despair
Just ask in His name and for His glory and fame
His answer will come, oh His Great will be done
Don't worry my friend, there is no dead end
He opened the sea, and killed the army
He saved all of Israel, oh Egypt did wail
God is in control, from those days of old
Let go and let God, does that strike a chord?
That's right, God is good, so let's not be rude
Before each petition, let's pause and be patient
Bless Him for His kindness, thank Him for His goodness
Then ask of your Father, anything, do not waver
Fast, if you must, God is faithful and just
At the end please remember, imitate that one number
