Grains of Sand

Just when I thought they were for keep,

Through my hands they start to seep,

Like life itself with secrets unknown,

Are something, but else is shown,

I gather my thoughts and think,

Whatever is that missing link…

In this existence of mine,

What is it that sends chills down my spine…

These grains of sand start to slip away,

All I do is stare in dismay,

My life has already faded and strayed,

Just like these grains of sand...
