Farewell, Mr. Bear

One day not long ago
I was spotted from a window
By this little girl
Who took my hand and twirled

Around and around we went
So then her mothers money she spent
Out the door with a smile
Oh yes, we were walking in style

Soon enough our friendship would fade
A stop to our ongoing parade
The years passed us by
I received not even a simple reply

I withered away in the corner
It seemed I was nothing but a foreigner
My little girl had grown to old
Now I would never have her to hold

My eyes dulled as the light reflected
It was just how I suspected
Bought and sold same as before
This time I'm walking out the door

I am sick of playing these games
Like all my different names
My life has come to a dead stop
As the chair quickly drops

My little girl was to late to save
My hand held up in a goodbye wave
Noose around my neck caused her to stare
Farewell, your Mr. Bear
