The Key to Immortality

One foot in the grave he was.
A feisty old man he stood.
Had settled him self
on a pretty young thing.
Fixed on her soft blush lips;
the way they glistened,
under fluorescent bulbs.
Swore he could taste candy
as she spoke.

Come here sweetness,
gimme some'o that sugar!

Facetiously she protested
that her sugar would try his heart,
as his days were already numbered.

Oh but if I could kiss your lips
Just one time,
I know I'd live forever!
