ode to a social soap opera
Yet another teenage crisis
stretched, distorted, blown out of proportion.
Hearts oozing. Synthetic frenzy.
Spotlight! shine down and blind them.
Stretched, distorted, blown out of proportion,
whispers echo down the corridor.
Spotlight! shine down and blind them.
Let them inhale their own bitter medicine.
Whispers echo down the corridor.
Hearts oozing. Synthetic frenzy.
Let them inhale their own bitter medicine.
Yet another teenage crisis.

Repetition
Love the use of repetition in this piece, as it really stresses the idea that all these teenage dramas have played themselves out a thousand times before. The poem itself feels canned, which is just perfect.

Thanks very much =] I had to write this style for a creative writing class I took for the first half of this year....it was a challenge but I enjoy challenges =]
