Want

Feelings coming from the depth
An instinct long since engaged
Feeling like a prelude to death
A drive that must be caged

Your skin beacons me
To touch the surface, feel it's heat
Your soul it calls to me
Longing for the chance to meet

Your eyes they see all
I have no defense to your claim
In each glance I fall
Left with exquisite pain

My arms long to hold you
To feel your heart beat against mine
A gift meant for few
When will you cross this line?

Words do not come easy
I hear you utter on soft breath
Things that send my heat fleeting
Left in the air like a mind's quest

My heart it screams for satisfaction
It longs for our touch
No longer statisfied by attraction
It wants to feel our lust

The smell of your skin
Invokes carnal desires
Amid an atmosphere akin
To love's burning fire

Eternal frustration torments
Feelings rushing to nowhere
Eyes forcing lament
As I hide my fear

My soul dies upon parting
Reliving my sorrow
Longing for starting
Of all our tomorrows

When will you feel me?
When will we soar?
When will you see me
and let my heart roar?

beautiful..

this is such an authentic expression of wanting. I can relate ;o)
