...and he cries
A boy running lightly over endless earth
Feeling the breeze caressing his hair
Unwittingly fleeing his lack of self-worth
Wanting to sing, Father says, "Don't you dare"
Stumbles over shoelaces
and parents angry faces...he cries
Hanging out with friends always youthful
Timeless joys and memories in the making
Barely comprehending the hollow internal pitfall
The toll his greatest friend's death is taking
Tripping over bottles
minus the one he coddles...he cries
Flipping through another sorry attempt at happiness
Pretending he's grasping what he wants of life
Contempt oozing at his own reflection, a mess
Ignorant of how to mend mind, heart, soul strife
Falling behind the shelf
loathing himself...he can't cry
Stewing in the newest cauldron of deceit
Soul blistering, heart drowning, mind suffocating
The door opens freeing a cool refreshing heartbeat
Beginning a process of healing, pain abating
Crawling towards the light
straining for height...crying inside
Realization dawning over his lost horizon
Warmth seeping, melting the frozen being
Acceptance, understading whe she he sets his eyes upon
Comfort from her makes life have meaning
Melding flowers
combining hours...and he cries....and he cries out in joy
