How Dare You?!?!
Think you have the right to know all
Disgusted by what you see on CNN
Can’t take all you read in the paper
Want Justice, let the trial begin
How dare you!?!?
You see evil in the death of a monster
Do you want said monster’s bomb under your bed?
His life worth more than safety’s protectors’
Easily judge what you cannot comprehend, it’s the end
Of life and joy and peace for the soldiers
Who defend your lives and right to an opinion
They fight and survive to reunite with their families
To tread ground most sacred, free once again
But, No! You curse and spit on the methods
That bring your family and friends such security
The very freedoms you enjoy, their job to sustain
You cast them aside with blinding impunity
How dare you?!! How dare you!?!? HOW DARE YOU, HOW DARE YOU?!?!?!?
Feel so bloody superior
Believe you know what’s right
Condemn those who serve you
Continue their warring night
Have you ever been shot at?
Have you ever been bombed?
Have you ever faced death with every breath?
Have you ever watched a hand grenade
come sailing to your position?
Have you held witness your best friend’s death?
This is what they live with
The choice they willingly made
So you can watch television
and drink your lemonade
Therefore, as you retire tonight
Appreciate all of your dreams
Thank them for living the nightmares
That you may have your freedoms

Huh?
Anybody know why this has been flagged?
You can meet God in the church of your choice
You can meet Woody Guthrie in Brooklyn State Hospital
You know, it's only my opinion, I may be right or wrong
But you can find both in the Grand Canyon at sundown
-Bob Dylan
powerful
the anger definitely comes thru! i, too, believe that the soldiers fighting in Iraq aren't nearly appreciated enough. Though I do not agree with this war, I think they should be praised for their actions.
