Jump (life)
If I dropped off the face of the planet,
Would you care?
I can name a few who might
But I won’t, I don’t care
Parents screaming
Yelling
They say they care,
But they don’t
Little siblings might,
I’ll read them a bed time story tonight
This poem sucks
And according to my parents
So do I
Maybe I’ll become a genius
Then I could defy gravity
And simply make that jump
To end all my pain…
That’s it I’ll simply jump,
Off the face of the planet
Not fall, because THEN
They might care

Ok so I have a friend that I let read this, he informed me that I sound very 'emo' or depressed in the poem. I would like to say that I am neither, I was very upset with my parents when I wrote this, and I vented into the paper, with my pen. Feel free to tell me it is horrible because I agree completely!
emo
Na, you don't sound especially emo in it. And that is a lot coming from someone who throws around the term as much as I do. More defiant and spiteful in the way people do when pissed at parents. The poem isn't horrible, but it isn't that moving either. The frame of thought was interesting to analyze though. "That's it I'll simply jump." I think would have been more convincing with an exclamation point, and it was by far the best line.
