Loneliness
Loneliness has embraced you
Taken you in like a good Samarian
Has assured you that she will always be there
She fixes your food and braids your hair
Loneliness has encouraged you
Taught you how to be strong and independent
Told you that men aren’t shit
That you’re better off with her
Loneliness has give you confidence
Showed you how to disguise your thunderstorms as bright and sunny days
Supplied all your needs.
Made sure that you need no one but her
And at night
When you cry
Loneliness wipes your tears away
And let you know that
As long as she is around
You are not alone.

This poem almost made me cry. It was really good and totally relatable because I think everyone has felt lonely. Great job!

i wrote that to a young lady that was far too independent yet always wondering why she was lonely and depressed. sometimes we get hurt and start to shut others out.. i believe this is what she has done and got too comfortable with being alone..
