Some don’t want the labor pain they just want the baby
Some only want the “Yes’s”, forget the “No’s” and “Maybe’s”
Some just want to lose the weight without exercising and diets
Some just want social change without protest and riots
Some just want to be in the lead but never learned how to follow
Some just want to dive into the deep end but never have waded in the shallow
Some just want the sunshine without ever experiencing the rain
Some just want to be loved without ever acknowledging the pain
Some just want the fortune and fame without fine tuning their craft
Some just want to count their money without first learning the math
Some don’t want to kill the cow they just want the steak
Some don’t know how to give they just know how to take
Some will apply shortcuts and schemes until their mind goes berserk
But some of us know the best rewards in life come with a little work.
