Individual in Numbers

We are all, now saturated in a society in which we have thought and over thought the idea of individualism. As always an idea is just that, an idea. We have become obsessive with an allusion of freedom within that is interdependent with contradiction without. Like minds bread the idea. We have mistaken individualism for our natural instinct to be part of a greater whole, a greater good, and also a greater evil. Our differences have become supressed, even in our most righteous our. One man could never change the world, not anymore. Like a drug we have abused the idea. The very foundation of our greatest hope and our greatest failure. We have turned our backs on those we love, we have decided that pain is the last real feeling, we have found blind acceptance in someone elses dream. It is clear now that it was meant to be, we have just forgotten how to follow our heart and soul's own ambition. We have not found our answers because we keep looking up and out. All the while, we have lost the capability to look inward, the most sensible place to find our own individual.
