October 14th, The Sky Falls Up

Your chasing the clouds...shes chasing the sky
Your chasing the truth...shes chasing the lies
Your chasing the juice...shes chasing the shell
The falling bombs dropping creating this hell
The sky so blue...as it buries the fire
You were taught to tell the truth, to a jury of liars
You were told that you were lonely, and weak inside
You put that sea shell to your ears, and you hear the cries
You keep on looking to the sky, while awaiting an answer...-
-Patience is cancer, and its painful to ask her
The birds, will chirp, and the baby will cry...
The earth, keeps burning like the pages in your mind
"Holy" Books, dictating, -and demonstrate a new world
Prophesying every man alive, and the few girls...who-
-Really paid attention to themselves, as the sixth sense
Opens up your mind, and inside, your a bit stressed-
-Remember as a young man, that cross was king
Until you grew up, and recognized that song they sing
"We are beautiful...dreams become real, if we think
We are beautiful...life is but a dream, going down the sink"
How, many times did you repeat, to yourself
That your not, crazy maybe your just deep, in this hell
And reality is real, and she loves you still
It makes your thrill...everytime you take that pill
Remember yesterday? Maybe you don't...really or do you?
Thousands of faces but still your wondering...who's who?
Thousands of ounces of different chemicals digested
And did i really write this song? Its like a question..
Whats real? How do you define...your reality
Can it be? When you pay attention you feel mad at me?
Sad to see...humans give they're backyard up
And they are coming...or will they turn they're back on us?
Im not sure...

This is an interesting poem.

This is an interesting poem. But I do have a bone to pick with you, and I've noticed this error frequently occurring in your work. All apologies for being the grammar police, but when you are trying to say YOU ARE (as in YOU, pronoun, ARE, verb, doing something) the correct contraction is YOU'RE. If you are trying to indicate possession, as in someone having or owning something, the correct possessive pronoun is YOUR. I don't mean to be a jerk, but this is a common mistake and a pet peeve of mine. Please be mindful of your usage since many people visit this site and are viewing your poems. Thanks.

hey

ahh, something small i have yet to correct, thanks though! constructive criticism is always good in my book

thanks for reading!
