Missing
Missing you
Forever
Because
We won’t be together
When you’re gone.
I’ll never again
Sit on your lap
Or giggle with you.
I’ll never again
Hear about the ‘good old days’
When you’d buy turtles for a penny
And when you brought home Coki.
I’ll miss you
Forever,
We’ll never hug again.
We’ll never watch TV
In the silence of the den.
We’ll never eat ice cream
Or tons too many cookies
We’ll never even talk about it—
Not when you’re gone.
I’ll be missing you
For eternity
For all time
Till my heart stops.
I’ll be waiting to see you
When I finally go.
I’ll run into your arms and say,
“I love you, Grandpa.”

Bittersweet
This poem was cute and sad. I find it a bit bittersweet that such a nice poem comes from a tale of sadness and sorrow and pain. I apologize if this is a true, real life occurrance--it must be hard. Please think of these words by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, "eath is simply a shedding of the physical body like the butterfly shedding its cocoon. It is a transition to a higher state of consciousness where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, and to be able to grow." And also of some very good words from the movie 'Serendipity,' "You know the Greeks didn't write obituaries. They only asked one question after a man died: "Did he have passion?"." And from what I read, your grandfather did have passion. =]

Thank you so, so much!
Nice quotes you have! Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it, and yeah, it's hard, but I'm thinking of Elizabeth Kumbler-Ross and Serendipity. Thank you again!
