Castle Of Sand
Fear ye not the rising tide,
Nor the blustery winds
That wail and cry:
Fear not the worries that fill your head,
Nor the restless dreams that keep you
Awake at night,
Tossing and turning in your bed.
Face your fears,
And put them aside;
Never run,
And never hide.
Look toward tomorrow,
And look forward to the next sunrise...
Fear not the sandy beach,
Nor those faraway dreams
That seem so out of reach.
Go ahead and build that castle of sand,
But build it wisely on solid land.
Build it far from shore,
Lest the waves come crashing in,
And your castle is no more.
Build it solidly,
Build it strong,
Build it to last,
And you can't go wrong.
Build it proudly,
Build it tall,
Build it wisely...
Or don't build it at all.
Though the blustery winds
May batter the walls,
The battlements will never fall.
And your castle of sand
Will forever stand
As a testiment to all.

This is one of your best!!!!! Great work!! Luckygrinn
A real metaphor for approaching and attacking life
tj,
Your words say si\o much about taking chances and facing the elements that would have you destroyed. If we never take any chances then there are never any sand castles to enjoy. I agree with Linda, this piece is beautiful, not only in how it read but for what it says.
