A Rose Without Thorns

I place in your hands
A rose without thorns,
Or little sharp horns
To prick
Your fingers.

I give to you
This rose
And a kiss.

And I promise
You this -
I'll give you
Nothing but
Love.

beautiful words tj

This poem is beautiful tj I loved it from start to finish , such a lovely poem with a great ending well written from Willow

Well, Willow

I have to admit I'm a bit of a romantic. Now that I've admitted it, I'm blushing, and I have to bury my face in a pillow.

romantics make good poets

That is what poetry is all about most of us are romantics it`s what makes us tick ,
we could do with more romantics in this World, well done tj

I think you're right, Willow

Maybe it's the romantic side of our nature that keeps us writers ticking, and clicking, and so on. Atleast I think it is for me.

Oh, yes

I do agree with what has been said aboutt his poem so far. I would like to add that life would seem without romance, and it never hurt anyone to write about it =] Sometimes love needs to be expressed aloud or on paper to be truly appreciated. Great work, tj, as always.
