Treat Me Like A Lady

Now listen to me,
And listen closely...

I'm not a puppet on a string,
Nor some fragile thing,
That is hopelessly lost and searching.

I'm not a play toy to bring you joy,
Just because I can.

I'm not something to be enjoyed,
Until you get annoyed;
Then toss aside.

I'm not a joyride,
I'm not a pet;
I don't wag my tail,
Nor bow my head.

I don't answer to any man, you see,
And don't you ever lift your hand to me.

Treat me like a lady,
Treat me with respect,
Treat me kindly,
And you'll have no regrets.

But treat me badly,
With no respect,
And you'll find out just how ugly
This lady can get!

YES!!!!!

love it TJ.this had to be a stretch for you like something I lack was for me because I don't drink.

wow

you can really place yourself elsewhere huh tj? nice job.
great write. and im sure you spoke for alot of women.
superb!
linda

My thanks to both you ladies

Thank you for reading!

treat me like a lady

See TJ that's exactly it
We need to stop being doormats
TJ, I want to be like you when I grow up.

Personally as a man...

I prefer women who are stong-willed and self-
assurred, with a possitive attitude and plenty of confidence. I like a lady who can stand beside me, not behind me!

this was great tj....

I loved the strength and confidence in this write......equal respect both ways is the key to everlasting love and happiness within any home.....the last stanza is my favorite part......thnx....peace.

A combination invitation and warning

tj,

You left no doubt in the reader's mind just how this lady should and should not be treated. Overall a very good piece.

Pete
