The Art of Thought - The Middle Child
My name is Blasphemy,
But you may call me Salvation.
The latter's the true me,
The former's the alias.
They dubbed me such,
When I strayed much too close.
I touched the truth,
And soon after, it went up in smoke.
The Crusades they've fought,
The witches they've torched,
All for lies, the words for naught,
And all for my soul and for yours.
They've built their great houses,
And burned down others.
They set men against their spouses,
And took children from their mothers.
They've brought war to all the earth,
And all in the name of peace.
They've turned the Name of God to dirt,
And raised the Beast.
Still now they beseech us,
Your map leads you to Hell.
Deceit guised in what they teach us,
Poisoned water in the well.
