Walking all alone
Down this deserted street
Step after step in rhythm
While my heart pounds the beat

Clouds keep rolling in
Like a tidal wave hits shore
Covering the entire sky
Where the sun shown before

Everything an ominous grey
As a fog starts to sink in
Hazing my mind and sight
Never knowing where I’ve been

But nothing can stop this travel
Whether the sky is black or blue
Searching for this answer
Or at least a little clue

This is no simple journey
It’s full of turns and twists
Choosing each path carefully
Wondering if the end even exists

Hoping around every corner
That I’ll see the shining sun
But the darkness still hangs around
To remind me I haven’t won

Till that day I’ll keep walking
This never ending trail
My body can handle distance
But my heart can’t stand to fail
