One to the other, life held oh so dear
Soldiers to Heroes, the time is now here
One will step forward some left behind
Soldiers and Heroes, ties ever will bind

A loved one will smile, another will cry
Soldiers or Heroes, both want not to die
to others give life, one less life remains
Soldiers and Heroes, they giveth the same

Heroes step forward, it's life or the grave
One life be given, for few to be saved
Soldiers will live, to fight a new day
