We listen to the teacher talk,
But have your mind on other things.
We shut the door, and turn the lock,
But you stare out at the rain.
You're supposed to be doing your work,
But you're staring into space.
You sit and fidget in your shirt.
You think how this is just a waste,
You're staring blindly at the paper in front of us.
And look at the questions there.
You think about making a fuss,
But you know you shouldn't dare.
You look around at all the others,
Then glance up at the clock.
You sit there, sigh, and think oh brother!
Then hear the teacher say "Ok, let's stop"
