Seasons Change (As the Hope Diminishes)
Once again I stood against the winter,
Impotent and tempted,
But never letting the snow
Melt on my drying face,
I set my ground against the winds,
Against the rains and the tragedies
Just to find you incomplete,
As you watch me with indifference
And let the storms fall on my back.
Summer came with full rage,
Drying the leaves and trees,
Turning rivers into vapor
And making all life perish
Under the extreme heat of your sight.
I walked over the leaves,
Making them crumple and shrug,
Until they broke
To let out the everlasting truth,
Until the smashed apart to reveal the blood.
The whole world is moving on,
It is dying under your fists,
It is slowly wrecking as you utter the final words.
I stood there by myself,
Resisting night and the darkness,
Making sure you were safe and calm,
Until the titles came
And burned all the progress.
It is your fear and divine hope,
That makes you think
I can withstand all the seasons,
Resist the temptations and the extreme conditions-
Of winter and its chilly nights,
Of the lonely summers
That are fueled by your infinite eyes...
