The River took it Away

It left with my pride,
Washed my dignity away,
The noisy river,
The purple water
That went my path, stray.

It was when I fell
Against the rocks’ mold,
When I tasted the freezing fungi,
And underwater went into a hole.
I began to attach to the other rocks,
Millions of them,
Dirty and unknown.
They were gray, black,
Yellowish and torn;
They cried at night,
Screamed at day,
I began to change,
I turned into a prey.
I started to morph,
Began to grow mold,
The water took me away,
Deeper…Deeper in the hole…

I changed into an agonizing rock,
As the water washed me down,
Piece by piece it made me smaller,
Somehow I settled for nothing more.
This purple water,
Noisy rocks,
They keep my insanity sane,
They make me cry and sing along.

I’m left with nothing but mold,
The greenish blood
That evaporates my soul.
Each step taken on me,
Each bird that lays on my whole,
Makes me loose what I have left,
Nothing at all.

The river washed me down
And took everything with it,
I turned into a rock
In the purple water,
With nothing but the green blood;
My sticky, cheap, mold.
