Alone
Blood running down her chest.
Laying on a cloud,
Hovering over a town.
The town which her footsteps grew,
The town where rain clouds haunted her.
Seeing her reflection being buried in dirt,
Not understanding why people gathered around.
Thinking she was alone,
Starting to wonder if she wasn't.
Seeing their faces,
Tears being formed.
Salty drops of sadness dampening the ground,
Trickles of tears start to run down her cheek.
Thought that she was alone,
Believing she was wrong.
Finally realizing she made a mistake she wish she never made,
But it was just too late.
Her friends, her family looked up with smiles,
Forgiveness shining in their faces.
A tingling sensation crawled own her back,
Magnificent white feathers arose.
She was never alone,
She now knows that.
The ones who once cared for her,
Now she watches over them.
Picking them up when they fall,
Even when they think they don't need help.
To whisper in their ear that they're never alone
To never make the mistake she had made.
