Holding me up
As i lay here,
The bed of grass and earth holding me up.
The white and blue above,
Reminding me i'm stuck under.
All the in between,
To cater for me,
Me and my desire.
Like a bolt stuck into the cogs,
Which turn and force me into motion.
I'm alone,
but a part of the whole,
At least thats the notion.
Like a splinter sharded from the greater mass,
Left alone to grow,
I surrender my memory as a part,
I look to my heart for guidance to follow,
And i hope that this world doesnt swallow me whole.
this is rough, just wanted to note it while i thought of it!

Thanks D
I have just been reading through a lot of your poems too, they are awesome..... where are you from?
I like the way you write, and the way your words flow. It's nice when you can read a piece lots of times, and the more you read it the more it rolls off your tongue the way its does the authors.
How long have you been writing for?
Thanks again Will,
And thanks for taking the time to read my nonsense lol!
Its great when you find a write that you associate with aswell, or like you say a piece that flows easily and you discover the true intent of the author.
Ive been writing on and off since about 7 and are nearly always found with a pen in my hand lol!
Im from Berkshire or 'Barkshire' in the UK originally as people say lol, but more recently moved to West Sussex. A little more peaceful here.
What about yourself, you write so well. Has it always been a part of your life?
:D
How could any of it possibly nonsense! it's a persons thoughts and idea's etc, it doesnt come much more worth while than that!
Ah a fellow UK dweller, makes sense, a poetic lot aint we! haha
I'm down in the south west, Bristol.
I guess i started writing about 3years ago when I was 19, dont know why i do it really. I find it a good way to remind myself of the way i was thinking at that point in time, should probably spend my time on football and drinking or something hadnt i? lol
I'm glad you have been enjoying them, it's always good to get some feedback, not many people of my age are into that kinda thing! willwhite123@yahoo.com on msn if you ever fancy a poetic chat! lol
Hi There,
Many thanks again Will, always a pleasure to meet a fellow Brit! We are indeed a poetic lot! Quite excellent we are me thinks lol! :.)
Football and drinking eh, theres plently of time for that and its not as creative a pursuit! Although you could combine all 3 by running around on the pitch after a skin full and reciting shakespear! lol!
You'll have to forgive my incredibly foolish sense of humour Will ha ha!
Thanks for the contact aswell , and sure anything poetic is cool lol!
Catch u soon.
