Love's Slave

The light of a million stars followed her into my heart
Illuminating the pitch-black caverns of too many midnights
Rainbows of a thousand pastels waved like the aurora
As silken tresses of heaven’s burnished gold brushed my face

Love had discovered my place of exile, whispering softly
Broken bonds of another time; a different dimension in life
Fell from my body as she swept me away with her magic
To someplace; anyplace… to wherever she had come from

Owner of all the universe, even the stars thereof, she chose me
Laying at my feet the treasure of true and lasting love
And I can not but yield to those celestial charms
Her willing slave, forevermore…
