Another Chance

A voice carried as the hurricane blew
God forgive them for they know not what they do

Trees once stood.a long time ago
flowers and plants with seed pods to sow
there were rivers flowing with waters clear
and the song of the birds for us to hear
fields full of plenty corn and wheat,
of barley. turnips, maize and beet
wild life dwelt in the forest deep
insects busy in the soil did keep
and seasons that come and go
seas with tides to ebb and flow
the Sun that shone Oh so bright
a Moon that lightened the darkest night
there were humans who thought they did their best
now they`ve gone laid to rest
with nothing left of the ozone layer
the World just a desert ,barren and bare.

Could we try another Planet can we start again
correcting our mistakes that we made then
can we make different rules , is it not too late
for a brand new World with a much better fate .
