Forget- me -not
Once on this Earth .a long time ago
when God created people and things to grow.
the people asked for colour to delight the eye
along came green trees that reached the sky
Never contented they asked for more
not thinking of the task he bore
But never the less to their surprise
tiny blue flowers from the soil did rise.
The tiny flowers all looked the same
people asked God to give them a name
a lesson taught on greed they got
when he named the flower Forget- me-not.
