George And The Dragon

The dragon`s breath of fire arose
and George drew out his sword,
he thrust it towards the dragon
a gamely wench was his reward

Now George was not a brave man
he was fickle to think he was,
but he needed a wench so badly
and so with his sword he draws.

If truth be told, the dragon was old,
and he`d blown the last of his fire,
for George the hero was also old
but had an inkling he could sire.

So off he went to claim his prize
to cherish the wench for his wife,
and when he saw what he had won
gave the dragon the kiss of life.

funny poem, willow

It must have been much harder back then to find a wife - killing dragons and all! Too bad all that hard work went for naught! Monty Python revisited. lol!
