My Wish My Dream
The Sun comes up beyond the hill
Sheep in the valleys are bleating
lambs skipping high in the meadows sweet
and the birds singing out there greeting
The mountain tips are peaked with snow
waterfalls tumbling, and cascading
down to the beautiful Valley below
where ponies by trees are grazing
A paradise that is next to none
tranquillity would be a bliss
to wade through fields of golden corn
and to savour the dewdrops kiss
Among the fields of green and gold
where poppies and cornflowers grow
an artist paint brush laden with colour
natures pallette mixed it just so
This is the place that I long to be
my heart is in Wales forever
a homely welcome in the land of song
there amidst the purple heather .
