Sea Of Scorn

While the wind howled, one september night
the clouds raced by , to hide the moons light
graceful trees bowing low to the gale
like a fleet of galleons with green leafy sails

The children slept in their beds allright .
they did not hear the wind last night
oblivious to the raging storm,
safe in their sanctuary, dry, and warm

Until they awakened the very next morn
and looked outside to a sea of scorn
they found it hard to understand
as we led them gently by the hand ,

The floods had flowed strong winds blew
waters conquered the earth we knew
trees uprooted against their will
the storm now over, all is still.

Excellent!

Really love this poem, rhyming is great, a very powerful piece.

Thankyou Simon
